Ballot Measures and Arguments

Hold onto your wallet! Vote "No" to more local taxes

Berkeley residents pay the highest taxes in the State of California.

Berkeley's budgetary shortfall is due to fiscal mismanagement, not to a lack of funds. Instead of reorganizing City Hall as other Bay Area communities have done in recent years, City Officials spend their time devising ways to extract more money from Berkeley residents.

Enough is enough.

BASTA! is committed to wise fiscal spending and stopping the spiraling cycle of ever rising taxes.
